Monica Rojas, LSW
Monica Rojas is an LSW. She earned a master’s degree in Social Work from the accredited school of Rutgers University. She is on track to obtaining an LCSW.
Monica has 10-years of experience working with diverse populations, such as, adolescents, adults, and the elderly with intellectual developmental disabilities and mental health diagnosis in a residential setting. This gave her varied experience in crisis management and applied behavioral analysis (ABA).
Monica trained at Northbrook Behavioral Health Hospital for 1 year during graduate school to enhance her clinical and therapeutic skills. Her educational and professional career has allowed her to use her social work skills and therapeutic skills in casework and in clinical settings with even the most challenging needs.
Monica specializes in individual therapy utilizing DBT, CBT, and solution focused therapy integrated with mindfulness techniques and motivational interviewing skills to support clients experiencing symptoms of aggression, anxiety, depression, and trauma related issues.
Monica is dedicated to creating a non-judgmental safe space for all to heal, feel understood, and valued. To empower, uplift, and encourage all to be their best selves. To teach the skills, and education needed to understand and embrace mental health. To view it as something positive and use it as a strength to build resilience, to improve quality of life, and to overcome the challenges and difficulties that life throws at you.
