A Better Tomorrow Counseling Services IIC program provides empowerment, education, and mental health treatment for individuals and families to help obtain their maximum potential.
Intensive In-Community Services are free mental health services delivered in the home for ages 0-21 by licensed therapists and behavioral assistants. IIC therapists and behavioral assistants provide a variety of mental health services and are matched with a youth based on their needs. These services are short term to help youth's and their families get back on track.
Services are typically 8-12 weeks long but can be longer. Therapists and behavioral assistants work on helping youth and their families learn how to positively cope with mental health and behavioral challenges. When services end your child is often able to stay with the same therapist in outpatient when through A Better Tomorrow Counseling Services.
The guardian and youth need to be home when calling (Youth 18 and older do not need a guardian present). Perform Care sends out Mobile Response or an individual from Case Management Organization within an hour if you meet the criteria. This can be done virtually, or they can come to your home depending on your preference.
Mobile Response or the Case Management Organization can put in place free individual or family therapy. They can also put in place a behavioral assistant if needed. If you would like a provider from A Better Tomorrow counseling Services, please let your Mobile response worker or care manager know during your initial meeting.
Services are accessed through Perform Care www.performcarenj.org 1-877-652-7624.
