Marissa Courtney, LSW
Marissa is an empathetic Licensed Social Worker and holds a certification as a School Social Worker. She earned her master’s degree at Rutgers University. Her degree focused on clinical social work with an emphasis on children and adolescents. With a fresh perspective and an unwavering commitment, Marissa is eager to embark on a career dedicated to advocating and supporting all individuals.
Marissa has experience as a case manager for the homeless population and was able to provide counseling to individuals ages 5 to 80. Additionally, she worked alongside families at the shelter and provided necessary resources and tools.
Marissa also has 3 years of experience as a Registered Behavioral Technician and has extensive experience in applied behavior analysis and behavior modification. She has worked with children and adolescents ages 18 months to 19 years within this field.
Marissa’s goal is to empower individuals to navigate the complexities of life changes, overcome obstacles, and reach their full potential. By using motivational interviewing, mindfulness, coping skills training, and CBT, Marissa empowers clients to succeed.
