Marisa Douglas, LSW
Marisa is a Licensed Social Worker with 3 years of clinical experience after earning her Master of Social Work from Rutgers University. Marisa has worked in a variety of settings, taking an interest in issues such as disability and interpersonal trauma.
Marisa’s clinical work is based in various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and always having a trauma-informed lens. Marisa specializes in working with anxiety, depression and mood disorders, disability and chronic illness issues, and PTSD.
Marisa values the importance of the therapeutic relationship to help clients feel able to show up authentically which can create transformation. Marisa’s style is centered on curiosity and humility, always believing the client is the expert on their own experience and simply wanting to be a helpful guide on their journey.
