Carlos “Alex” Reyes, Licensed Associate Counselor, is a dedicated mental health professional committed to fostering healing, resilience, and personal growth within the community. With a strong foundation in clinical mental health counseling, Alex is passionate about creating safe, collaborative spaces where clients feel supported in reconnecting with their strengths and moving toward meaningful change.
He approaches therapy with empathy, sincerity, and deep respect for each client’s lived experience. His work is grounded in trauma-informed and culturally responsive care, with an emphasis on trust, collaboration, and genuine human connection. Alex believes therapy is a process where clients are empowered to build insight, strengthen coping skills, and develop greater emotional clarity and stability over time.
Alex works with a wide range of concerns, including addiction and substance use, anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, OCD, ODD, anger and behavioral issues, developmental disorders, and trauma and PTSD. He also supports clients navigating stress, self-esteem concerns, social anxiety, relationship issues, family conflict, divorce, infidelity, life transitions, and grief, as well as court-involved parental reunification.
Additionally, Alex has experience working with gambling concerns, video game addiction, self-harm behaviors, suicidal ideation, sexual abuse, religious trauma, racial identity concerns, LGBTQIA+ related stressors, men’s issues, narcissistic abuse, and coping skills development.
In his work with ABTCS, Alex considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they work toward greater stability, insight, and overall well-being.
