Adriana Acquah, LSW

As a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Adriana provides compassionate, client-centered therapy for individuals, couples, and families ages 9 and older. She is dedicated to meeting clients where they are, creating a space that feels safe, respectful, and genuinely supportive. Adriana understands that seeking therapy can be a meaningful and sometimes vulnerable step, and she works to make that process feel comfortable and collaborative from the very beginning.

She specializes in working with anxiety, depression, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), behavioral concerns, delinquency, and trauma. She also supports clients navigating a wide range of life challenges, including relationship difficulties, family conflict, addiction, grief and loss, major life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and mood disorders. Adriana has a strong appreciation for the complexity of each person’s story and the many factors that can shape emotional and behavioral health over time.

Adriana believes that every individual carries unique strengths, even during times that feel overwhelming or uncertain. Her approach is warm, integrative, and tailored to each client’s needs, drawing from evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness techniques, Solution-Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Play Therapy, and strengths-based interventions. She thoughtfully blends these approaches to support healing, insight, and practical change in everyday life.

Whether working with children learning to express emotions in healthier ways, adolescents navigating identity and behavioral challenges, adults managing stress or trauma, or families working to strengthen communication and connection, Adriana strives to meet each client with patience, empathy, and respect. She is especially passionate about helping clients feel understood—not just for what they are struggling with, but for who they are as whole people.

In her work, Adriana aims to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel truly heard, supported, and never judged. She focuses on helping individuals and families build insight, develop effective coping skills, and feel more grounded and confident as they move toward meaningful and lasting change.
