Shaina Laslow, LAC
Shaina received her Masters Degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and is a Licensed Associate Counselor. She has experience working with anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar, trauma, DCP&P, substance use, post-incarceration and self-esteem. She has worked in the mental health field with adolescents, teens, young adults and adults.
Shaina typically utilizes an integrative approach of interventions such as Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Supportive Talk Therapy. She believes in individualizing her approach to best meet the needs of each person. Building a strong therapeutic relationship and creating a relaxed environment in which the person feels safe, comfortable and supported is important for her.
Shaina approaches each person with genuineness, honesty, empathy and enjoys expressing her personality to provide the best therapeutic experience.
