Melissa Egrie, LCSW
Melissa Egrie is a NJ Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned a Master of Social Work degree from Rutgers University and has an MSW Certificate in Aging and Health. Her concentration centered on clinical social work with an area of emphasis in mental and behavioral health.
Melissa has worked with individuals, couples, and families of all ages and diversities. In addition to her experience as an outpatient therapist, she has helped meet the individualized needs of youths through the Intensive In-Community (IIC) program.
She currently assists children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, challenges with anger management, low self-esteem, lack of communication skills, and difficulties with handling life transitions. She utilizes various evidence-based modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, art therapy, and mindfulness interventions.
The client-centered approach Melissa implements with all of her clients allows for their autonomy, strengths, and insight in regard to their problems to be respected as well as validated throughout the treatment process.
Melissa is dedicated to collaboratively assisting all of her clients with implementing changes that will foster their unique potential as well as improve their quality of life.
