Ivy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a graduate from Rutgers University. She is passionate about providing a space where you feel supported and understood. She believes in integration of the mind, body, spirit and community; combining holistic practices with the most effective research based treatment methods. Her clinical experience includes working with anxiety/depression, oppositional defiant/conduct disorder, co‑occurring conditions, sexual behavior problems, substance abuse, emotional/physical/sexual abuse, trauma, family conflicts, self-esteem and anger management.
She believes that the therapeutic relationship is extremely important and works to create a safe, supportive space. She approaches counseling from a holistic lens which allows her to tailor treatment to fit your individual needs and goals. Through her experiences she has learned that it is important for her to empower you by working together to create the changes you want in your life. She incorporates techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy; however, she will work with the approaches that align with your personal goals and values.
She believes in a strengths based approach and will help you build on your strengths and help you to learn new coping skills. She is very passionate about her work and believes we are all capable of healing and living fulfilling, joyful, healthy lives.
